Outfit of The Day: A Little Bold Never Hurt Nobody…

IMG_7531 IMG_7534 IMG_7542

IMG_7543  Today’s Outfit of the Day was more eclectic as well as loud.

Makeup- A Purple eyeshadow as a base, a pink shadow for the outer crease, and a chocolate brown as a transition color. TONS of mascara; dramatic lashes are a must.

Clothes- I discovered at a boutique called the Little Black Dress. Usually, I would never in a million years wear something so colorful and flashy, but I was feeling bold. Personally, I love this shade of orange. I think it compliments my hair color and ivory skin perfectly.

Hair- Sleek and Straight. I tried something new from my usual mid-part.  I find it amazing how something so small like changing your hair part can transform your whole look.

Audrey’s Sweet Little Finds: The Royal’s Princess Eleanor…

I was impressed with the premiere of E’s new show, The Royals. I would say it is a combination of Gossip Girl and Reign. The newly show has it all- title, power, money, hot guys, and over-the-top fashion.

Specifically, I gravitated towards Princess Eleanor’s character. She is a free-spirited bad girl. Eleanor’s bold personality is depicted through her risky wardrobe and makeup choices. I love how she looks like she just rolled out of bed and threw on a couture dress she found on her bedroom floor.

Beauty-> There is no such thing as “day or night makeup” when it comes to Eleanor’s signature look. No matter the time, she wears an intense smokey eye, loads of mascara, and a severe cat eye.

IMG_7516IMG_5855

Fashion-> Eleanor’s style is edgy glam. She always incorporates bling into her outfits- whether it be a sparkly sequined dress, a silver shirt, or dramatic jewelry. She tends to stick with a black and gray color palette, but surprises with a rare pop of color.

Audrey’s Sweet Little Finds: A Beauty Splurge or Save… Makeup Edition

IMG_7266

Hello my loves! I have decided each week to put together a guide on which beauty products requires splurging at a Sephora or can save by heading to your local drugstore . Today’s post will specifically cover the be essentials that complete your makeup collection.

Just like your wardrobe, some items require spending more money than others. A tailored blazer or trench coat are pieces worth splurging on because they are timeless and will never go off trend. Well, that is the same logic you want to follow when thinking how much to spend on a makeup product.

Splurge

1) A Foundation- Personally, I prefer splurging on a foundation. I just find the drugstore brands tend to cause breakouts and does not blend well on my face.

Recommend- DiorSkin Nude// Makes my skin look flawless and has amazing coverage

2) Makeup Brushes- The drugstore brushes I have used would not blend the product well and tends to break/ fall apart very quickly.

Recommend- Too-faced brushes, it Cosmetics (best foundation brush ever), and bare minerals

3) A Pigmented Eyeshadow- Drugstore eyeshadows work fine if you are going for a natural look, but they are not pigmented and does not last.

Recommend- Urban Decay// SO many colors to choose from and are extremely pigmented.

4) Eyeshadow Primer

Recommend- Urban Decay or Too-Faced// Avoids creasing and has pretty shimmer colors.

Save

1) Mascara- I actually find drugstore Mascaras to work 10xs better than a high-end brand.

Recommend- ANY Maybelline Mascara// Works magic on my eyelashes

2) Eyeliner- Liquid or Pencil

Recommend- Liquid//L’Oreal Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner

Pencil// L’Oreal Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner

*As you can see I love L’Oreal eyeliner*

3) Blush – I find it does not matter where you purchase blush, but it matters how/where you apply the product

Recommend- Tarte// The colors are so pretty for fair skin

-I also like Revlon’s blushes, which I find myself going back to

4) Concealer- I switch on and off with using my YSL touch up concealer or Maybelline’s eraser concealer.

Audrey’s Sweet Little Finds: An Outfit of the Day…

Yesterday, my little cousin turned one years old. We celebrated by having a cowboy-themed birthday party. I got into the spirit my channeling my inner southern belle.

IMG_7197IMG_7183

Necessities of a Southern Belle:

1) Denim- No matter the style make sure denim is incorporated into your outfit.

2) Plaid- Flannels are a southern belle’s holy grail. Every color and any color is accepted.

3) Booties- A classic cowboy boot or a structured brown riding boot is the correct  footwear for choice.

4) A Bandana- I find a tied bandana the perfect hair accessory. The accessory is so effortlessly chic.

5) Major Lash Envy- Whether falsies or a volumizing mascara is your preference, long lashes are needed to complete the look.
